Tennis has been available for members essentially since the club’s inception. The two tennis courts were initially located to the east of the clubhouse, where the lower parking lot is today. Today’s members recall the club had “the nicest clay courts in the state” in those days.
The tennis courts were removed at some point to allow for more parking, and the club went without tennis courts until members began asking for them again. They were built in the current location in the 1970s. The adjacent Pavilion was built in the early 1980s.
